    SmartQoE: Measurement Concept and Trendscouting for QoE in Mobile Context

    Summary

    The focus of the project "SmartQoE: Measurement Concept and Trendscouting for QoE in Mobile Context" is on three major goals:

    1. Development of a measurement concept to measure QoE-relevant application data with a smartphone app

    - Transparent logging of QoE-relevant application data for YouTube video streaming in  Android web browsers.
    - Transmission of logged data to web server.
    - Design of user interface for easy and intuitive usage of app by test users.

    2. Analysis of collected data

    - Analysis of QoE challenges from application data.
    - Analysis of correlations of data from measurement app and other available data (e.g.,   other measurement apps, release dates, changelogs).

    3. Trendscouting

    - Estimation of potential for new research topics on QoE.
    - Study of network requirements and quality indicators of upcoming apps and devices.
    - Conduction of preliminary experiments.
